Submission Guidelines

Please read the following guidelines if you are considering submitting you film for presentation on the Infinite City Studio website.

1. Each film submitted by a contributing artist should tell a story or evoke a mood. Home movies, video game footage (machinima), voyeur films, and music videos* will not be accepted. With this said, Infinite City Studio does not and will not stifle creativity. Our goal is to collectively share our personal take on the world and how it does or doesn't work. Make a movie!

2. For now, contributing artists should keep their films within a fifteen minute timeframe. If submission runs longer, we will accept serialized versions (multiple parts).

3. Currently, we are distributing movies as Flash Movies (.flv files) for easy streaming and file size. For the sake of uniformity and convenience, we would appreciate submissions in this form. However, we would be willing to help with conversion if that became necessary.

4. All approved submissions will carry the tag "Infinite City Studio presents" at the start of the film. However, the contributing artists will retain sole copyrights and ownership of their work. Infinite City Studio will at no time claim producer credit for films not shot and/or edited by Infinite City Studio.

5. Initially, films that are added to the Infinite City Library will remain exlusive to Infinite City Studio for a three month period. After three months, the submitted film will remain in the library but the contributing artist is then able to distribute freely.

6. Every contributing artist will receive one free Biography web page housed in the Infinite City Studio domain. Said web page will remain on the server for as long as Infinite City Studio retains distribution exclusivity. If the contributing artist maintains exlusivity beyond the mandatory three month exclusivity period, the contributing artist's Biography page will remain on the server. If the contributing artist elects to distribute wide after three months, the Biography page will be removed. However, the contributing artist's name will remain in our list of contributors with a link to their own Home Page outside of our domain should one be provided. See item #7 for more information regarding the contributing artist's Biography web page.

7. Contributing artists will be able to submit their own Biography web page of their own design. This web page may feature images of the contributing artist, resume material, contact information, and/or links to external websites such as a remote Home page, MySpace, FaceBook, etc. At no time will Infinite City Studio link to external movie sites.

* Music videos will be considered if the music is original and within the rights of the filmmaker to use it.
